The Panasonic Toughbook CF-53 is an ideal all-purpose notebook when you are on the move or in the office. Top performance paired with tried and tested Toughbook robustness via a magnesium case together with an integrated carry handle - the CF-53 combines everything professional users need whilst travelling. Tested according to strict MIL-STD 810G specifications, it protects sensitive components such as the display and hard disk from vibrations and shocks. Thus your valuable data is securely stored when the machine is turned off, even if it falls from desk height. The spill-resistant keyboard and touchpad is an additional protective feature. It is equipped with a DVD multidrive for the multimedia pocket and it offers numerous ports, such as serial, USB 3.0 and Firewire (IEEE1394) to connect various peripheral drives.This semi-ruggedized Toughbook is also extremely easy to connect: serial connection and SD and PC card slot are also provided as standard. The 14" diagonal of its bright WXGA resolution display is comparable to desktop computer screens. As a Toughbook, the CF-53 boasts a range of “ruggedised” features protecting its key components from damage: The display is surrounded by dampers and is mounted in a durable magnesium casing. The hard disk drive is embedded in a shock-absorbing foam and is connected to the motherboard by flexible cabling.
